How to build your own SEO tools in qbash, and call them from Claude or ChatGPT

Mitchell Tessier

This video builds a set of SEO tools as one qbash Task and calls them from Claude. A Task is an AI cloud function written in Python that qbash hosts on secure cloud infrastructure. The Task reads your Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Ads and Ahrefs data alongside your own keyword priorities and brand voice. You ask Claude what to fix on your site this week, and the answer comes from your accounts. The same Task works in ChatGPT or any other agent that supports MCP.

What's covered

  • Adding the qbash MCP to Claude
  • A memory folder for your keyword priorities and brand voice
  • Asking Claude to build the SEO Tools Task
  • Connecting Search Console, Analytics, Google Ads and Ahrefs
  • Asking what to fix this week, and reading the run log
  • Running the Task every Monday
  • Calling the same Task from ChatGPT

Add qbash to Claude

In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, click Add and choose Add custom connector. Name it something like qbash MCP, paste in the address below and click Continue. Then click Connect and sign in with your qbash account. A free account works.

On a Team or Enterprise plan, the account owner adds custom connectors, so you may need to ask them. In a new chat, open the plus menu, go to Connectors and turn qbash on.

Add your keyword priorities and brand voice

In qbash, open Memories and make a folder called SEO Knowledge. Add a document called Keyword priorities with the topics you care about, the searches people use for each one and the pages you want to rank. Add a second document called Brand voice with your tone and how you like page titles and articles written. The Task reads both on every run.

Ask Claude to build the tools

Tell Claude the questions you ask, the accounts to pull from and the memory folder to read. This is the request typed in the video. Change the site, modes and accounts to yours.

Build me SEO tools for qbash.com as one qbash Task called SEO Tools, with three modes: what to fix this week, why my search traffic dropped, and what to write next. Use my Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Ads Keyword Planner and Ahrefs accounts, and read my keyword priorities and brand voice from the SEO knowledge folder. Numbers come from my accounts, and AI writes only the summaries and titles.

Claude hands the request to the qbash Task builder, which writes the Task and saves each version in qbash. You end up with one Task called SEO Tools and a mode for each question.

Connect your accounts

qbash asks you to connect the accounts the Task needs. Sign in with Google for Search Console and Analytics. The Task can also use Google Ads for monthly search volume and Ahrefs for keyword difficulty. Both are optional, and Ahrefs needs your own API key.

Ask what to fix this week

Back in Claude, ask "what should I fix this week?" and mention SEO Tools in the question so Claude knows to use it. In the video the run takes nine seconds and returns five pages that sit on page two of Google for searches in the priorities document. Each comes back with its query, position, monthly searches and a suggested title. The top pick is /docs/features/mcp-connectors, which ranks 19th for "mcp connectors" at 1,900 searches a month.

Every run has a log in qbash, so you or Claude can check where each number came from.

Run it every Monday

Ask Claude to schedule it. The request in the video:

Run SEO Tools every Monday at 8am Toronto time in fix this week mode.

The schedule shows up under Triggers in qbash, and each run is saved there with its log.

Use it from ChatGPT

In ChatGPT, qbash shows up under Plugins with the same address. Ask which pages you should write next, and SEO Tools answers from the same accounts and the same SEO Knowledge folder.

Video transcript

Today we're going to use qbash to build our own set of SEO tools that we can call from Claude, Chatg GPT, or really any agent that supports MCP. By the end, you'll be able to ask Claude what to fix on your site, and your own tools will give you the answer. First, we'll add the Cube Bash MCP to Claude. Quick note, if you're on a team or enterprise plan, your account owner has to add custom connectors. So, you might need to ask them to set this up for you.

Otherwise, open customize, then connectors, click add, and choose add a custom connector. Give it a name like qbash MCP. Paste in the address you see on the screen and click continue. Then click connect and sign in with your qbash account. A free Cube Bash account works fine.

Now, in a new chat, open the plus menu, go to connectors, and turn qbash on. Next, we're going to give qbash some context about your business. In qbash, open memories and make a new folder called SEO Knowledge. In there, add a document called keyword priorities with the topics you care about, the searches people use for each one, and the pages you want to rank for. Then add a document called brand voice.

That's where your tone goes along with how you like your page titles and articles written. Now for the fun part. We're going to have Claude build us a QBash task that pulls your data and your context together into tools that you can call. Just tell Claude the kinds of questions you ask, the accounts you want to pull data from, like search console or ah refs, and point it at your SEO knowledge folder. Claude hands that off to the qbash task builder, which writes the task and saves each version in qbash.

What you end up with is one task called SEO tools with a mode for each of your questions. The task needs access to your accounts. So, qbash will ask you to connect them. Click connect and sign in with Google for search console and analytics. You can also add Google ads for monthly search volume and ah refs for keyword difficulty if you want it.

Ah refs needs your own API key. Okay, let's try it in Claude. Ask a question and mention SEO tools so Claude knows to use it. Something like what should I fix this week? SEO Tools runs in qbash and comes back with five pages, how many searches they get a month, and suggested fixes.

Every run has a detailed login cube bash, so you or your agent can check exactly where each number came from. You could tell Claude to run this every Monday morning, and that schedule shows up under triggers in qbash. Every run gets saved there with its log. The same tools work in chat GPT, Grockbot, or anything else that takes an MCP. In Chat GPT, qbash shows up under plugins with the same address.

Ask it what pages you should write next, and SEO tools will tell you what's worth adding. You can start free at cubash.com. Build your own SEO tools and then build tools for the other questions you ask every week.
